Peaceful protest enough is enough

Protest was held in baluwatar, the premises of Nepal's
Prime Minister's residence, on the seventy-eighth day
of the nation-wide lockdown on the issue of corona prevention,
pay taxes and corruption while maintaining social distance.
After not being heard from the talks, not being heard from
social media and newspapers, people were compelled to
protest in front of Baluwatar. Protestor urge against the
government to expand PCR testing, correct the quarantine
facilities and demand for proper utilization of government
funds to control the possible outbreak of Coronavirus. People are
fed up with government’s misplaced priorities putting citizens
lives at risk.
MAIN AGENDA OF THIS PROTEST WERE

100% PCR
 ZERO unsafe Quarantines
STOP USING RDTs

PROPER USE OF 1.3 BILLION USD,

The police tried to explain to the protestors they were violating
the rule that no more than 25 people could gather during the
lockdown and asked them to disperse.Despite requesting
Nepal Police again and again with all the politeness just for
next 30mins of allowance the action they repelled was extremely
brutal. What started as a peaceful-chanting of demands ended in
chaos after Nepal Police charged the protesters with water
cannons & batons. A total of 9 arrests & physical harassment
dispersed the gathering.
